I've just read p.g 234 BRB and BSEN 60439-3:1991 states particular requirements for low voltage switchgear and control gear asemblies intended to being installed in places where unskilled persons have access to their use. Distribution boards. Have I understood this to using the appropriate switchgear for the situation?

It's basically just an overall British standard for distribution boards,,, it covers the enclosure, types of switch gear and the types of protective devices that can be installed.. The components have their own British standard
