On the first switch perm L to common, L1 nothing (off), L2 to common of next switch

All other switches, common is live in from previous L2, L1 to light, L2 to next common?

Q1/ Is the Tunnel a DEAD END? or is it a through tunnel

Q2/ Can a person approach from EITHER end to start the sequence?

Q3/ What switches OFF the last light?

i.e.

1st light switch, switches ON 1st light switches Off Nothing

2nd light switch, switches ON 2nd light switches Off 1st light

3rd light switch, switches ON 3rd light switches Off 2nd light

4th light switch, switches ON 4th light switches Off 3rd light
