Fairly certain there has been 2 or 3 threads on this in the last few weeks already.

It depends on the job as to what is better. One could be cheaper, efficiency could be determined by several things, like energy tariffs and existing heating system efficiency in general. Also installation costs could be a factor. Electric can often be fitted on the base floor with finished flooing on top, wet systems generally need more depth so need the existing base to be lifted for installation.
