undergrund/railway work

Does anybody know what certificates are required to get work on the underground/railway network and how to go about getting them?I think they are called pts?Any help much appreciated!

Personal Track Safety is a must. I know that Much.

You can each either try to get a job with a rail company and have them to put you through it, along with the other courses that they require you to do.

Or you could pay for it yourself and do it through a private firm, which will impress your prospective rail employer.

seriously tho,i spose its all for your own safety.just exploring different avenues at the moment as i just cant get a start anywhere.may even try the Olympic stadium.

Dont think short cuts when working on electrical systems at any time are exceptable,especially at that voltageX(I can take it from this that the PTS is no boring h&s test and something a bit more serious.

Network rail have just advertised for apprentices, have a look on the website.

London Underground, are going through change, everything is moving back to London undergorund control and moving away from the likes of metronet.

You need a few certs before you can even go doen there,

entry to work permit is the main one, then after that depending on what your doing, your company will/should put you through the ones you need as there are hundreds of them, all depending on what you are doing!!!
