right guys , are you all well ? customer wants a light in his understair cupboard that operates with the open / closing of the door .

Really struggling to find a switch to do the job , anybody got any ideas where i can get 1 .

i know its not generally used in a domestic situation and more suitable for industrial but the client wants what the client wants and i need something that is suitable for a 230v , 6 amp lighting circuit.

many thanks wayne soppitt

^^+1

we used to call the wardrobe switches,

or JAR switches, no idea where the JAR came from but it what we used to call them. :C

BTW, to fit them you just take a notch out of the door stop,

I never liked the push to break switches they seem to fail but the jeani heavy duty ones seem to last 143w is the part number according to that brochure.

Steps; does it come on when the door is a-JAR?

Only a suggestion.
