I joined the EEPTU as an apprentice it has merged a few times with other union now it is now part of UNITE .I am still an active member and a UNITE shop steward.

Take a look at the union website.

Union membership was part of my up life my father was a member of the NUM all the time he worked in the mining industry so I grew up union ideals. It is up to you to become a union member or not but first do some research on the unions in the UK
