I am well impressed with my mates van - he has a Merc Vito 120.

Really nice design, got some good little features. Bloody good acceleration too

yeah i got the 109 vito.

low enough to get in 1.9m car parks, and I can get my 2.4m triple extension ladders easily in the back.

I used to have a Renault Traffic which was excellent.

Had an ex BT diesel Escort for the last 5 years 95000 miles and counting . 45 MPG . Don't really miss the bigger size although the Traffic was nice to drive.

i have a transit connect TDCI nice little van good to drive, but have spent a bit on money on it recently to get it perfect.

Its up for sale if the OP is interested?

Im now looking at getting a VW transporter T5 never heard a bad thing about them except the price :_|

The Transporters are good vans.

The same mate who has the Vito, had 3 Transporters before. He did have a few problems from time to time, the biggest/most annoying was an electrical fault, where the electrical power would just cut out while driving - very dangerous!

The main dealer could find the fault!

I like the design of the Vito where its recessed under the seats to get sheets or long items in. What he has done, is cut a whole in the front panel of the recess, so that he can get full 3m lengths of pipes in the back. They protrude into the cab a few inches.

It quite a low van, no "stepping up" to get into it.

His is also automatic gearbox, handy when stuck in traffic with stop starts all the time.

i did look at that route as some people had suggested it, does seem ok but i would like my company to have assets.

Ive got a citreon dispatch 2.0 hdi ,i needed a 3 seater for the school runs

does the job,fast

no racking all kit in plastic boxes

at the weekend i can put 6 mountain bikes in it no problems

as i only do domestic it is the right size for me

Looked at these before buying the kangoo (price was more than I could afford at the the time) didn't like the crappy passenger seat, But do seem to be good size and nippy to boot.Planning on getting a 3 seat van sometime next year for another apprentice plus family useage.
