i got this question can any body give me the answer.

a cable 10m long supplies a heater taling 40a.if the cable has a volt drop of 4mf per ampere meter the voltage drop in the cable will be ?

16v

8v

1.6v

0.16v

could any body show me how to work it ouit to see if i put the right answer down. cheersGuiness Drink

If a cable has a Vd of 4mV/A/M

then for your example..

0.004*40*10 = 1.6v
