Isn't that what this forum is for (as long as you aren't a 5WW, DIYer, plumber, other non-electrician....)!btw, thanks for the help Lurch.
I haven't got his number, and he probably hasn't got mine. I don't like telephones anyway, or people, or anything really.Could save you both a hell of a lot of time.

Yeah, I did as soon as I pressed it. If the forum owners weren't so slack on maintenance and updates I would have hit the undo button (or not pressed any of them if they weren't here).you'll regret that!
I have absolutely NO idea what any of that means,,,,, I did say SMALL words I think,,,, :CMight be late to this party but when a clean W7 install fails on a new hardware system (when apparently all went fine and left doing windows updates) the problem is often that the W7 OS drivers cannot deal with much newer 4K-sector hard disk drives - The same problem frequently causes Non Genuine Windows Installation warnings too before the final mess-up.
The root cause is an out of date version of the Disk-storage drivers that Windows 7 installation disk has on board and the updated version - while available- is not prioritised enough to update before the warnings and crashes start . .
