Raining on and off here, gusty wind..........told Mrs 107 to lay off the sage & onion stuffing at dinner but would she listen?

Anyway latest update from my lot, for Berks the met have upped the warning to amber with predicted high winds between midnight and 09:00 with concentrated rainfall.

Locally those that were flooded a few years back have put down sandbags and other half mate has moved possessions upstairs.

One of my work mates lives down Dorset and reports 50mph gusts already

Well, what a complete load of crap...... I live in the most exposed spot you could, 250 feet up and 3 miles in from the coast. It is all downhill from my house, no wind breaks whatsoever, i can see from about portishead round to about minehead and watch ships sail up the channel and enter the docks, i would be able to see cornwall but cardiff gets in the way, and what happens, not a puff of wind all night...

Obviously the weather people are the same ones that brought you global warming, the nonsense about ozone layers, and a load of windmills that will never work, [no wind when it is cold chaps...]

Joking aside did anyone see sky news this morning where they interviewed the Brighton coffin dodgers swimming club ???

A woman was being interviewed and behind her a cameraman was too close to the sea edge and got caught,, the sea took his legs from under him and was in real trouble but luckily two of the swimmers helped him otherwise he was gone the same way that poor 14 year old lad did A FEW MILES ALONG THE COAST !!!!!

I saw 3 trees blown over driving to work this morning.

2 people died from trees been blown over.

I doubt the dead folk and there relatives thought the storm warning was over the top.
