Just spent the day on Swansea beach - biannual airshow (note to G.H - when there`s a jet with afterburner on, doing powered dives 300M away, I can`t hear the voice on the `phone - sorry).

Didn`t think it was that hot really, yet Mrs. KME & I look like greasy chips at the mo, being somewhat slathered in aftersun - think we burnt a bit.

I`ll apologise if I`m not on much tomorrow; I`ve got almost 700 raw images to sort, classify & process.

We were thinking of going back tomorrow (two Tornado GR4s going to be there, that weren`t today), BUT its Silverstone tomoz.......That`ll have to take precedence.

So we sat down this evening, and watched that Bradford born magician they call "Dynamo".

FFS - he is summat else. If you haven`t seen it yet - series, "watch" channel, ?thursday?

The photography thread is going to be getting a hammering, methinks......I believe the Sidewinder posse was also in attendance; though I didn`t see `em.

Was the Vulcan there? Saw it taking off (from Bruntingthorpe) over Lutterworth on Friday and was wondering where it was going.

No mate no Vulcan, there was a Lancaster though!

The rest were display craft, Sat finished with the Arrows, awesome!

Sunday finished with Team Viper.

The pair of GR4's were LOUD!!!

The Black Cat Lynx display team were quite good too.

Hope you got some decent photies bud - judging by the "race" (term used somewhat loosely.....like a wheel nut?! :red card ), the beach would have been the better option (but I`ve had too much wine to drive ATM!!!!!

I went to the RAF Waddington air show last week, 2nd time i've been now. The American Thunderbirds were there, as well as the Red Arrows, the Lancaster Bomber, a B17(which I mistook for a B52) and of course the mighty Vulcan, It's such a beast and amazing to see and hear her taking off!

I also got a bit burnt, doh!

Not heard of that magician though, i'll have to look out for him if he's from my neck of the woods.

We get the Red Arrows over our house once a year because we live just 300m from the Red Arrow pub. The RAs were based at Bitteswell aerodrome many years ago - it's Magna Park Distribution Centre now!

I was stationed in Cyprus in the 90's the arrows were there during the month of May practicing

locals loved it

ground crew were a bit up there own A#r#es sometimes

I laughed at the tail back of traffic heading into the city as i was heading out home after work saturday but sadly didnt get to see any of the show

Get the Red Arrows over here frequently. Daughter lives about 5 miles away, her house is 150m from the end of the runway where they build/test the Typhoon and Tornados. We get some fantastic free displays. My 1 year old grand daughter can sleep through a Typhoon taking off outside her bedroom window; bang the front door however and she will scream the house down!... :coat
