Welcome to the forum. Questions like this can probably be answered easier if you give a bit more information, such as; What test equipment have you used in the past, what makes and models have you been looking at already, what budget range are you looking at. In principal sourcing a test meter at a good price is no different from buying some materials for a job. There are plenty of online sites where numerous products, specifications and cost can easily be compared. But at the end of the day the item has to be within the customers specification and budget. It is a basic skill you will need if trying to do work for yourself. Just like a customer saying they want an electric shower at least 9.5kw and within £90 budget. If you said, I need a meter with these features x,y,z, (Multifunction or separates) within the £xxx.yy budget, but I don't like using "Fluke" (*pick any name) Then others may be able to be a bit more practical in their answers. Otherwise it is quite and open choice mostly down to your personal preference.,hi all i am looking at going out on my own and looking to buy a tester what a good one to go for looking at becoming domestic installer
