Plenty of work in Dublin for you. Not messing about acting sectarian, although it's a long commute but there is big bucks there
We wouldn't actually be that far from Dublin, probably,

We're looking down that side of the north,

Wouldn't be any worse a commute for me than over here some weeks.

I done some work in Churchtown and Naas, way back when. And used to do a fair bit of racing at Mondello Park on a SS400, and that main straight seemed about 5mile long on a ministock :slap

Very good.

Banbridge or Markethill, would be a good launch pad for you.

Mondello park... I remember during the Celtic Tiger there was a plan to upgrade it to an f1 standard track. Although it never happened.

That's round where we've been looking,

The wife saw a nice place in crossmaglen,  she doesn't understand these things, see, English lass, bless her, :slap

It would have been one of the best things to happen Ireland (as a whole) if it had came off, cos those Pratt's in the DUP would never have such things as the devils enjoyment in the North, we used to race  Nutts corner on a sat, then drive Mondello or even Cork for a race on Sunday, good times, was even good when I wasn't racing and merely spannering  Guinness

We've been looking at this very thing @rapparee

Sell up here and have enough equity to upgrade and buy outright in NI and still have enough to buy a small rental for an income,

All dependent on work availability tho,,,, :|
Definitely do it. This is exactly what we did in 2003 except we moved to the Highlands.

We sold a 3 1/2 bed ex council semi in Oxfordshire and ended up with a 5 bed detached to live in, and a 1 bed flat and 2 bed terrace as rental properties. Oh and no mortgage any more.

People told us we were mad, and it was a 1 way ticket you would never be able to move back etc. But whenever I go down there to visit folk, within 2 days I am screaming to get away from the overcrowding and traffic congestion. Why would I ever want to go back to somewhere without mountains and so far from the sea?

Oi I have friends in Cross.

Although you're right. We had two English fellas over from Schuler Engineering in Birmingham. The hotel they decided to stay in was in Crossmaglen.  :shakehead

They then thought it would be a good idea to go across the street and drink in the pub, when one of them went into the toilet he walks up to the urinal and said "alright mate". To which the response was "20 years ago, I would have shot you".

The visitors sunk their pints and left.

And people CHOOSE to live somewhere where there is such underlying sectarian / racial hatred?

Madness :C :shakehead

Its a beautiful country with a great way of life,

Its hard to understand if you don't live there,

My wife really had the shock of her life , totally nothing like what she expected, and now she would move there tomorrow if the situation was right.

Careful Dave, you might find yourself suffering the same if Sturgeon gets her way!!
It's just been on the BBC news, Sturgeon is saying that if Brexit goes ahead then it will restart the debate on an independant Scotland, basically it will be as if the previous vote never happened.

And an extra £1bn of Tory money sloshing about as well.

has Arlene blackmailed them?

or is it just for her woodburner mates?

:slap
Well she threw away £500m on the RHI but she managed to gouge £1bn out of the Brits so she is half a billion up and is strutting about back on top of the heap. The Sinn Féin ones don't know what to do. Turn down £1bn and look like irresponsible fools or take the £1bn and be tainted by taking the Tory gold in the eyes of the dissidents. It is only conditional on Stormont getting up and running again. So it's up to Sinn Féin to see will they take it or not.

You can't wait to get back lol.

TBH I have to admire Arlene for this one. She's usually a balloon but she's played her cards right. In all fairness the Tories didn't have to give the DUP anything, because we all know, there was little chance of Gregory Campbell and Jeffrey Donaldson standing up and voting for Jeremy Corbyn.

As much as I should like her, but somehow think she's as deluded as she is stupid,

Who tf ever thought she would make a good leader of the "largest" party in NI,,,? :shakehead

But ye, she did somehow manage to win a get out of jail card there, like you say, how could they ever support Corbyn and still maintain their self absorbed principles......
