where can i get these in the uk?

hi all, i need to get hold of one of these for a customer.

ive had a look at a couple of wholesaler websites and can find anything.

any advice would be much appreciated.

If they are just for connecting that 12v lamp could you not use the standard porcelein one found in most 12v downlights.

Otherwise make a request on their website.

If its the flex your after, there is only one company that makes it and that company is in Germany.

I have lately seen loads of this 2 core decorative flex used for lighting, I had to do a rubbing on the cable to get it identified and was registered as a speaker cable?

I could not get any in the UK and would have had to buy a full drum of the stuff from the German company at some ridiculous price plus shipping.

Needless to say I gave up on the idea of replacing the cable.

I am not sure it would have a BS number iether

im supprised you couldnt get any from maplins or a car hifi shop. i have some a similer size running my sub in the van.

its the connector im after, if the cable comes with it then all the better but the connector is the main thing.

its a branch joint. top and bottom seperates and tightened by screw. uncut main going through one side, branch goes through the other.

going by your picture, rather than cable leave at 90

if you use it with fine stranded flex, you should crimp the end - its designed more for mains cables
