I shouldn't have left my basic tester on the ladder before using it!

Its not much use now but should I just buy another Dilog or another brand?

Open to suggestions from the collective

Thanks

I have a Di-log tester the same as that, always been ok with them, used Steinel ones before that.  I was using it last week and the cable to the L2 probe had come away slightly from the body leaving a bit of bare conductor and I did get a belt off it, other than that concur about the fluke although a bit pricey will last forever

Arrived today.

a huge improvement on the Dilog

Got the same.  It's great in awkward places.

I think the only flaw in my eye is that 'continuity' seems to be anything under 470KΩ which while technically true (if insulators start at 1MΩ) isnt always as helpful for fault finding dodgy connections as a lower cut off would be. .
