Hi all,

not sure if this is the best place for this or if i should post in the heating section

Anyway, went to do a job in a flat with three storage heaters are controlled by a timer control and a wireless relay, din mounted in CU. But the new owner has thrown out the timer control thinking it was an old mobile phone, so ive been asked to sort something out. I cant seem to find a similar part anywhere and am not sure where to find one, or what the best way to sort it would be.

The heaters are each supplied by seperate 16A mcb's, then go into the relay. Was thinking if cant find another wireless relay to put a timer below the fuseboard and if a possible fit a contactor into the board?

any thoughts most welcome

thanks

Welcome to the world of posting on the the forum Fletchflash, I can't help you with you problem. But I think probably it is best to keep it here in Q&A's as the problem is just an electrical switching control issue, not a direct heating problem. How old is the system?

Doc H.

thanks yeah looks on the right lines, will have a proper look in morn.

installations not that old, maybe 10 years or so. I had cosidered a timer/contactor mounted in CU but boards is a bit too high really. The relay thats there now is a merlin gerin.

thanks for replies

Merlin or schneider as they are do a unit call Zelio, doesnt have a remote control but is operated via pc/bluetooth.

thanks for all your replies.

had to make a decision and order parts today, as the cust wants it doing by the end of week.

decided to put a new contactor in and just have it running from an anologue timer, which i'll fit on the wall below the fuse board. not ideal, but as long as it works hes happy

cheers for the link m107, ill save that one. probs come in useful

Too late now as you've ordered parts but you ciuld give us some info to go on, like part numbers and pics. If it's not that old then chances are something similar if not identical is available or someone has seen\used something along the same lines.

Has anyone found one of these as I've got an application which would be ideal for one..

Granny annex with NSH, but no E7 supply... main house has E7!! Was going to do it with timeclock, but wireless contactor/relay would be ideal as I could trigger it from the E7 board!

Can't say as I've seen one of these made-for-the-job units but I could soon knock up a wireless link and control after a bit of thumbing through the CPC book. Probably be cheaper, usually is!
