work wear/light and sound question

hello just finished my 2330 level 2 and i am doing level 3 with a light and sound company, i firstly want to know is lighting and sound something good to get into for the first few years, and will it be something i wont be able to get out of, i would like to do about 3 years there then do some domestic electrics (or something different)

Second question, college kitted me out with all the ppe but gave me click boots, which are very uncomfortable and i cannot work for very long until i get aches, i would like to know what your opinions are on comfy good quality boots, i am willing to spend whatever on them as it will be worth it.

third question, i would also like work pants, with alot of pockets and comfortable would like them black, can any one reccomend me some?

I wear these ones, plenty of pockets and comfortable. Tight fit though so probs best of going for next waist size up if ya get some.
