Is it worth me getting a gold membership? or should i stay as a bronze member until i get used to the site?

Brief bit of info may help.......

This place was originally set up by a fantastic guy "Admin1" on a non-commercial, hobby come personal goal objective..

to provide a decent place to discuss electrical issues without been called all the names under the sun for asking a reasonable question....

It grew beyond the expectations of the original Admin and Bandwidth & running costs became a bit of an issue along with a few other personal commitments...

So it was sold internal to group of existing members who put their money where their mouth was and did a

bl**dy brilliant job in moving the whole forum into a new more commercial phase of operation....

As with all forums it has its occasional hiccups....

But the original drive for keeping decent place to discuss electrical issues has been kept at the heart.....

So the bottom line:-

Bandwidth costs money...

Managing and upgrades etc,, cost time and money....

Which is why the new management team set  up the membership levels to allow every one to contribute a bit

proportional to their use of the forum....

For me personally...

Gold is good....

and will be keeping it renewed until such time that it is not economically worth my while...

You may want to spend a few more weeks evaluating stuff..

BUT..

TBH..

the amount for 12months Gold is not going to break anyones piggy bank!!!

perhaps I may have stumbled upon the wrong forum,

Im fairly certain I was told it was AC/DC on here, [and NO, not simply the rock and roll act]

I did a precursory check and saw the heels of 'mr' kerching, and did pay note to 'Deke' being called 'Sandra' on a weekend, so as one may well do, duly assumed I was in the correct forum,

To me its only fair if everyone pays a little to keep the website fully functional. Tbh what i've seen over the last few days regarding the website has been great. I'm seriously considering upgrading my membership to gold. As you said its not going to break anyones piggy bank.

Hopefully i'll be chatting to everyone as a gold member in the not so distant future
