If you moved a light switch from one side of a wall (in an open plan kitchen) to the otherside of the wall would you notify it?

Oh yeh it's a Paramount wall and you are not moving the cables, just fitting a dry line box to the reverse side of the wall and refitting the switch!!

Is the switch still inside the kitchen area?

How much will it cost you to notify? NICEIC only peanuts...

probably don't need to, but I probably would...

cost next to nothing but gives customer bit more confidence proper job done.....

which may encourage further work to be done correctly with a registered spark! :) :D

no way would i notify, yes give them the options but dont we produce enough paperwork these days without making more for ourselves, that to me is an on my way home job, can you imagine finding theres no bonding, 4mm main earth, no cpc sleeving on lighting....total cost of moving switch could be @

i had to move a light pull cord from bathroom to become a switch in the hallway

NIC said it could be notifiable if you wanted to

i wouldnt bother
