ZE in a factory

Hi all

Ive added a circuit on a warehouse thats supplying an outside cabin,  now ive tested the cable ive installed but i have no access to the incoming supply and no test sheets are available for me to get the ZE reading and can't see what the earthing arrangement is.  What options do I have?

What do I write on the test sheet? Obv the 1st sheet with supply details will be pretty much blank. No incoming sizes, what phase, how many poles etc.

I would say you need to be VERY specific about what you write as the scope of works and the limitations of testing. You can only write what you did and why.

Your key tests are Zdb, R1 + R2 and Zs along with the IR, and RCD (if relevent)

Well I persisted with getting information from the job. Went back today and finally got hold of an indate EICR with the supply details on. Happy days.

Strictly speaking it could be argued that reg 132.16 requires you to establish the type & integrity of the supply characteristics (e.g. earthing arrangements)..
