A few months ago I had quite a few metres of 300mm 4 core armoured, which I stripped and got a few buns for. Appart from that, dont really bother with it, as Ive taken T&E in the past and not got much for it. J

Well I went up the Metal recycling place today with a few bundles of scrap..

I had been doing a bit of Plumbing for the in-laws last week, so I had a varied selection of metals, (all separated in bags & tubs).

Anyway..

These are the prices they were buying at..

Bare copper, (pipe & stripped cable)

 
had a few offcuts of some 240mm 4core sometime ago. Totaled 800quid! I was expecting around 250, Big bonus! Was split 2ways.

 
prices sound good at the moment :)

i have about 5 black bags of t&e and 2 bags of pipe off cuts, might be worth weighing in :)

Keep weighing it in while prices are up.

Years back I filled an Escort van with a load of copper scrap till the front wheels were hardly touching the road ....got

 
I was at at job yesterday and the owner asked whether I wanted their old copper cylinder so I took it down the scrappy and they gave me

 
last lot i brought in 15/12/10 dry bright copper wire

product-C1 weight-24kg

 
I have seen some of these stripping tools advertised but im a little unsure if they will be worth the money bout
