shop DB1 is a dual RCD consumer unit, from db1 40A MCB to to upstairs flat. It's a only one bed flat. DB 2 in flat RCD trip same time as down stairs in shop. I never work under any experienced sparky cos no one want improver in my area, this is the my only way to learn the trade.

I install two new CUs at shop and upstairs flat, can any one help me to achive time delayed to discriminate with the RCD's in the flat consumer unit? diagram would be apperciated. Best regards

Hi All, I have installed a new consumer unit, the ring circuit is showing IRfault between L-N. The customer doesn't want to pay for the fault to be rectified because the ring circuit is working fine. Do I need to rectify this fault if I wish to show this job to an assesor for certification?

How do you wire with three core cable? Intermediate switch got four terminals and in middle we got six wires.

Lets,s start again again. Problem with cooker socket, cooker is not connected but still keep tripping the C/B. As soon I try to switch on the C/B of cooker it trips main switch. any suggestions?  Best Regards

normal voltage indicator. But I checked other front plate that doesn't buzz, why is that? cooker is not connected. test meter didn't showed any reading L-E.

I'm using megger 1551 tester and L-N and N-E have readinf 299 M ohms. but L-N very low reading.

today i disconnected cooker and run IR test, found no reading in L-E. does it make sense?  yes this is the same job.

I am think to run again IR test, if all clear then I am thinking to use normal main switch and 30A cooker MCB, what do you think? .   yes I have disconnect main incoming cable for cooker from  cooker switch.

cooker is not connected any more but still problem in the circuit.
