    Cctv Kits (Home)

Hi, Just passing through. I do a bit of video and stills (since 1994). Since all this 'paedophile' stuff started up (quite rightly), I was a bit put off about taking my cameras out. The local constabulary, ah bless, gave me the rundown on the law as it stood in 2011... You can video in any...

    Alarm Pir's Orientation

Don't want to keep on bringing up an old subject, but it might be of use to someone looking for a quick answer.Another way of recognising the orientation (doesn't work every time) is to look at the connection terminals. They vary, but usually the lettering beside each terminal is:- T, T, +, -...

    Alarm Pir's Orientation

Just glancing through old posts, came across this one... The easiest way to check is to walk test the area. If the l.e.d. flicks on and off as you walk, the unit is picking you up ... it's mounted correctly. (and you won't catch spiderman).

Ring Main Starts At Old Cooker Feed Point

Errmm !!! I should have added a zero to the 88. It's 880 watts which would make it just under 4 amps (I think). Thanks for the last reply by the way. I'm surprised no one has given me a 'ear bashing' so far. Thanks, you're appreciated.

Ring Main Starts At Old Cooker Feed Point

Thanks for that, it's appreciated. So after all this glorification of Part P, it won't apply to kitchens then, I thought that was one of the main bits of part P ? Forgive my ignorance. So do you reckon that this oven should be on a fused spur or plugged in ? and is a 32amp mcb too big ?

Ring Main Starts At Old Cooker Feed Point

Hi everyone, Several years ago I was up against the same problem. The existing kitchen ring, serving three double socket outlets, was intact but they wanted extra sockets beneath their new worktops also. I ran a further ring of three double sockets from the cooker point and changed the 45 amp...

    Gardtec 595 new zone programming

Hi, Is this your own panel ? i.e. was it purchased from new by yourself, or was it installed by a different company. If by a different company, note that a feature of Gardtec as regards the engineer code is such that if it starts with a 9 it can not be changed unless you know the original...

    BURGLAR ALARM SYSTEM

Hi, I would tend to go with Andy on this one. Galaxy is a high spec pro unit and as such is excellent..in the UK. If it's going to North Africa it may be better to set your sites on the Texecom. There are a lot of rooms, doors and windows, do you think it might be possible for him to give you a...
