Well it’s that time of the year again! It’s been a mixed year so , in-line with tradition, here are a few things that have mildly irritated me

You are a very grumpy person, but I think it is inevitable as grumpiness is an exponential function of time. I am certainly becoming worse every year, and agree with your whole list, with one exeption. I am partial to the occasional cup of Yorkshire tea. A few things that irritate me - people...

I've had the same email, but did not bother replying. As a matter of interest, how do they scam the money from you?

unvented system - eastern european style

found this in a rental property, and disconnected it straight away. 2 x immersion elements, mains cold water feed, no expansion vessel or any temp pressure relief valves. Put in as a temporary measure until they could fit the boiler. Lucky the thermostat in the immersion element did not fail

    Things I Don't Like

Things I REALLY don`t like; Taking apart and unblocking a saniflo - for the 6th time in the same flat FFS. The retarded tenants just don`t understand that it won`t eat baby wipes. I`m surprised the landlord hasn`t kicked them out yet. Trying to change an immersion heater element, when the...

    tt with no rcd

Thanks for all the replies, and in retrospect I should not have worked on the circuit. Will tell him the bad news tomorrow. I will also ask about the eic for the rewire and new cu which was apparently 6years ago. Bet there isn't any paperwork. I was sure that tt systems should be all rcd, but...

    tt with no rcd

Andy, didn' see all of your post. Just seen the pics! No I don't think it's safe, and I think I would put an rcd in somehow, but i've said that I won't do the pir. Was just wondering what you would do?

    tt with no rcd

Havn't finished yet or done the mwc, but I see what you mean. The circuit checks out ok, earth continuity, polarity,zs etc all fine, but no rcd

    tt with no rcd

Doing some work in a local shop. Shopkeeper had inspectio by council and fire officers, resulting in long list of things to fix. I'been fitting key switches for testing the emergency lights, as well as a few other things. He asked me to do a pir, but I dont think I'm competent yet. Agreed to...
