OP states panel changed, if you changed my consumer unit is the warrenty for the extent of the work you've done of for whole intsallation ? remove cables & measure the circuit (the manual states a 10k resistor), using a DVM like this you should get a reading of around 10000 Ω (imgae might have zero missing) okay say it open circuit? you could apply a short by putting the panel end cables in choc block you should have the...- Terry W

Fire alarm fault
As guess its a fault on the sounder circuit, measure for eol, check fuses, try resistor in panel. Normal fualt finding stuff- Terry W

Its not quite that cut & dry. Each DNO has there own rules as to removal of there fuses, which would normally be stated on there website, I assume the the OP's location is what was once Southern Electricity ...- Terry W

What do you think of the public sector strike on Wed 30th ??
Somebody I knew would have got final salary pension & half spouse pension for handling tripple 9 calls, might have been shift work & dealing with tragedy (+nutters) but appeared to be better of than me & a great deal more time to spare. They chucked it after almost 20yrs as they was...- Terry W
