I was 19 in 1971, also think that around this time petrol would have been about 3shillings and 6d to 4shillings (17 1/2 --- 20p new money) per gallon. proper days!!!!!!!!
I also got a letter from Eon yesterday telling me that my fixed rate is coming to an end and that the new system does not have my 26% off for paying both gas and electric by direct debit, but is now 10%, rang up to ask why and was told my bill will rise over the next 12 months by
speak to the manufacturers the cylinder has a lifetime guarrantee, which may mean the expansion vessel could come into the guarrantee, the other parts (immersion etc) only have 2 years but the cylinder is lifetime!

If you check on The Church of England web site I think you may find an explanation, also make sure that the Water authority are only charging for your car park area, and the area of buildings and not the whole site of the church i.e. graveyard etc, we had similar problem with my lads cricket club...
pretty sure Evans Electric is spot on I started in 1970 and was using the last of the imperial (real) cable before they brought out the metric which no one could understand, but then again half the population did not know why a new penny was so much smaller than an old penny but worth twice as much.
i use a 4" hole saw, cut the hole and save the piece that comes out, run the cables then slide a 2"x1" batten through the hole screw the piece back that you have saved and use some filler where the teeth from the hole saw have cut. Job done ten minutes max.
Ian932, dont know if its too far for you but the Stockport branch is still up and running, might be worth your while getting your moneys worth of stock and then owe them instead, get what you can and then sell it on. At least you wont be out of pocket
pretty sure on this boiler because its an 'External' the L>N>E live gives a permanent supply to an inbuilt frost stat and the switched live fires the boiler on demand for the heating/hot water so make sure you wire correctly from the motorised valve that the switch does in fact fire...
as above I bought the 18v drill and impact driver 3 months ago after being a lifelong Dewalt fan, excellent gear, really good quality, batteries are excellent as is the charger, cant find anything bad to say about them,
as far as I can remember if there is a switch or secret key switch it can be turned off, it can also be unintentionally forgotten to be switched back on, the coroner wil not accept I forgot to switch it on. Normally you will see the fuse removed and replace knowing the system is back running...
agree with rainydays only first thing i would try is the room stat calling for heat or is it turned down for summer! heating wont work if room stat is set too low.
No problem mate, the TLC is quite good as a guide, it means you dont have to get the 17th edition out every time and try and do loads of maths. good luck with the dryers.
unfortunately each handdryer will take 10.87 amps which equals 32.6 all together, 4.00mm over your 28metres will take 37amps max, so you cant even up rate to 40amp mcb, best split 3 seperate and run 2.5mm, if you use
