    Socket tester puzzle.

Today's job was a freebie for my daughter. She is wanting some extra sockets in her lounge. I decided to use my Fluke socket tester to verify which circuit to isolate. The tester is showing 2 green and 1 red led illuminated. Eh? Go to the board and do global insulation tests-- 4.5M  ohms...

    Neff Double Oven 5.7Kw

Anyone fitted one of these? Do they come with their own supply cable? MI's is for 24A fuse rating but no info to enable me to apply diversity. Had some of these ovens where you can hardly get a 4mm into the connections.

Central Heating Wiring 1.5Mm Or 1.0Mm?

    New Regs.2015

Just reading PE mag for November and was intrigued about the new spec for consumer units (fire resistance). Anyway, It comes into effect in January, we have 6 months to comply and the manufacturers have another 6 months to get stocks up to level. I laugh. The manufacturers have an extra 6...

    Quick Advice Please.

I've been asked by a farmer if it is possible to provide a cctv system to his barn which is 100m away from the main house. He needs the system so that he can remotely monitor his cows when they are due to give birth. I have not been to the premises as yet but there is only mains supply to this...

    Impressed With Sbs Rcbo's

Just fitted my first bit of gear from SBS Dave. Replaced a 100mA TD / 30mA split board with 14  DP RCBO's (suppply is TT) and I must say I am really impressed with the finished job. The entire board is so much neater and was simple to install. Any future fault finding would also be much easier...
