I'm about to take the C&G level 3 18th edition. I've successfully passed an IOSH H&S test. I don't have a NVQ level 3. What ECS card can I apply for?

No. Ive been working as an electrical improver for 20 years

whilst you may consider yourself an electrical improver and i dont doubt that you may have gained the skillset, however without any recognised qualifications in installation you will never be seen as one. It may be worth looking at a mature assessment with JIB which is designed for someone of your nature i think. You can look at the entry requirements to see if you qualify, this way you would be able to gain a recognised qualification and thus a suitable JIB card?

Let us know how you get on ....I get the impression there are more "mature "  apprentices entering the trade than  school leavers .   Certainly a lot visit this forum for advice . 

If you're actually working with a contractor  it may help with this NVQ  3 thing .
