Good evening all .

I have been asked to do 1st fix in an extension which is fine but because I'm not registered with a scheme provider yet , as a way round this can I notify LABC before hand to hopefully give me the go ahead to do this and 2nd fix. There is also a new CU going in as well . My main work has been industrial but I'm seriously thinking of joining a scheme as I get asked to do domestic work which I've had to turn down in the past..I hold C&G 2330 lvl's 2 and 3 and C&G 2382....I have booked a course 2391 to start in Jan 2011.

Cheers Megaohm7Guinness

contact LABC. the will usually want to see it at first fix, then once complete (and maybe more - depends on LABC and i guess if they are inspecting other works at the same property)

I believe that if there is already a planning application in and the electrics are included on it then your request to have the it checked wont cost anything

i know when i had my garage built it didnt cost me anything and that was for my assessment.

Mega i would join a scam and use that job for your assessment,,,do it,,,,its not that bad...

Hi Theorysparky

Thanks for your reply. I will suggest to the client about checking with the building control about the electrics side of things and It is looking very likely that I could be a scam member this side of Xmas..Mega
