Patch you young whippersnapper B- ... the week before this incident I passed my driving test. It was quite funny because my eyesight was dodgy back then and the vehicle number plate I was asked to read was my company van and I knew the registration number anyway !

How many weeks after that was it you had a beach named after you?

Er... about 8 weeks after I passed my test I crashed my beloved Mini 1275GT. I took a sharp bend at about 50 MPH in icy conditions, flew over a sea wall and landed 80 yards down a beach. Since this incident 25 years ago a lot of the locals have named the beach after me !.
