That doesn't mean it won't be back. You probably still have a N-E insulation fault on the installation which can can lead to it tripping from faults happening elsewhere!

And if the fault in another property is say on a light fitting and only present when its on, it'll be back again every evening!

Chances are, the faulty circuit in an adjoining property has tripped, or perhaps someone's been and fixed it.

As above, still investigate the n-e fault in the db that was tripping.

i did check for any N-E faults in that db as it was the one i could isolate. non found

yes repeat may crop up yes

Maybe the fault was on their Christmas lights which have now been taken down and packed away until next year, when you will get a phone call again.

That's a sweeping statement side that a tong tester IS not what many Sparks call it. I think you mean that's what YOU know it as. As it's a slang word it could mean anything.

Such as side cutters are sometimes called snips, cutters, nips, chomps.

I know what you mean tho, I'd frown if you called a clamp on meter a tong tester. Oops :p

yes i have a "posting style" not quite unorthodox but "quirky" has been mentioned on all forums i frequent not sure why :C not intentional to be or otherwise.

i guess its the reaction you have to a caggy hander.

whats up with timeline?
