Anyone else clocked this? ............. one of my mates mentioned this to me today
Caravan pitches just got a bit more expensive!
Caravan pitches just got a bit more expensive!
dont do caravan parks so not really looked through 708. but yes, thatll make them a bit more expensive. probably not a great deal more though, interlocked sockets are not too expensive
I remember going camping a few years back, me and the wife and my mate and his wife and his son(my apprentice) we were sat having a beer and this couple in the tent opposite had just set up and began having a right row, they had one of those 4 way sockets with an on board RCD, the type you use in tents. Anyway he'd pressed the test button several times and the unit broke, she was threatening him with all sorts, as, she wouldn't be able to use her hairdryer, or curling tongs, and was demanding they went home!ooh I sense an increase in 'INTERLOCK SERVICES' hitting the trade, next it'll be driveby interlock assessment companies springing up!!
For those of you already in the caravanning fraternity it may be worthwhile carrying a few spares in the underseat storage area for the onsite emergency?? could result in a free drink holiday?
Probably, after all there's not much difference is there, either way it's a plug and socket of the same type, it's just one connects to a caravan and one to a boat.Just a quick question gents,
I dont have a copy of the 18th yet, could hookups on marina's become interlocked as well at all?

Doesn't apply to Scotland.
This is what I found on the last caravan site I used on a remote Scottish Island.

There was an old bicycle inner tube provided to strap the door on.It just needs the door fixing and it will be as good as new.

My lad used to work for the Asda home delivery service, they used to get at least a couple of plugs ripped off the vans each week, and that was just at his depot (the vans have a 240v hookup for the freezer) I told him about the ones we had at the fire station, most of them drop out when you start the engine, personally I don't know why these, 'auto eject' type aren't made mandatory on any vehicle that has mains electricity connected to it.Personally I couldn’t give a damb about caravanners, they deserve to pay for their selfish stupidity.
What bugged me for years was interlocked 433V 3Ø industrial sockets supplying delivery tankers. It’s not difficult to remember that when the load has been completed disconnect the power feed, the blow line and the static earth, in that order. Tankers leaving site dragging pipe work and cables was a regular occurrence, at least the earth clamp just pulled off.
The BOC lads carried their own spares on the tanker.
