BTW, Im in blessed CYMRU sometime in May, Aggie has decided we are going to a park somewhere in the north for a couple of days,

call it Albert's Egypt if you must. :D
You wanna call on Noz mate!I'll be back up there in a couple of weeks then about a month later too!
He's only an hour away by car, but I guess it'll take him a few days if Hercules brings him;)

JJ, there is an alternative way of doing this which would not involve any work on the tails. You say the current cu is full. Well why not pull one of the lighting circuits out of the current cu. Use the space provided to create a small distribution circuit to your new 2 way CU next to it (say 32A/6mm). Redirect the lighting into this and use the extra way for the PV. You might want to consider using a main switch unit and RCBOs.

PS I recently asked a Hager technical guy if RCBOs work backwards. The answer was yes. He did go on to qualify this by saying he couldn't speak for other manufacturers.

This was an old thread March 2011, reopened by a new member adding an unrelated question. As the OP has not been back onto the forum since June 2011, I consider it prudent to close it to save others answering a completed topic.
