Some body did that in my brothers house, but it wasn't a water pipe in the way, it was the gas pipe directly in front of a FCU

Ive had a gas pipe run right across the front of a CU once, it was so close the door wouldnt even open, never mind get the cover off,,,

What are you lot griping for?..you can use the pipe to lever the fuse carrier out, can access the switch.

Im curious as to the bonding clamps,

im thinking its a boiler, so some idiot has wasted time and money cross bonding the pipes,  :slap

I did that as well msl1:

done it before...

similar thing on a job a few years ago, A N other ran 2x pipes over the top of my box that had been 1st fixed (removing my box and leaving it hanging on the cable)... cut the pipes top and bottom and reattached box... on the next visit a few days later the pipes have been taken a different route...

old victorian house, CU in smallest understairs cupboard, open door and there's a gas pipe right across front of cupboard. Similar scenarrio, lift access hatch to get under floorboards ( small and tightish) firkiin gas pipe across that space :facepalm:
