I would disagree its one word useless but My picture posting is rubbish so perhaps I should not say that. ;)
i can read 11 words off the pic 6 of them say what it is.

This is a Wylex board which would have probably had rewireable fuses which have been replaced by the plug in push button type MCBs to BS 3871

 
Could we have a pic of the whole fuse board showing the rewirable fuses?That looks to me like the RCD fitted into the old style Wylex boards that took the NB series of MCB's (lethal things due to unshrouded terminals) I would like to see the layout of the whole board with rewirable fuses.

Yuk, that's horrible.

Even worse than the NB series boards. They obviously have never heard or terminal shrouds, particularly those incomers.

You really need to isolate (pull main fuse) before working on that board. I would certainly be recommending a CU change.
