Bought a 2005 Warrior, mainly if im just going from site to site, with materials for the lads etc

Got a bit bored with the van as i only use it when i get my overalls on to do a bit

I found myself using the car ( last pic ) and im starting to knock it about a bit now so ill use the warrior and the van when needed

Ive seen a few people use these for work, so i thought id give it a go and see how i get on, and its only done 67k with full main dealer service history, so it should be good for a few miles yet, plus a few luxuries like leather seats, aircon etc

Can also double as a pickup if i need it to

What you think ???????????????

Will it be usefull or will it end up another toy ?

It will probably end up as another toy :)

As you say if the van is surplus then I suppose this has to be more usefull to you.

I used to drive a double cab Navara. Was ok with the back being separate, you can keep the back seats clean enough for friends/family and all the gear separate.

When I went on my own, first co. vehicle was a used double cab Ford Ranger with rear cover, same but different!

Kept me going for over a year, may need to get rid of it soon, gutted!

Was FAB in the snow recently, LOVED it.

rev,

I take it your comment was aimed at my Ranger? :_|

I have a contact at our local main dealer who says the heads are not a common failure.

Mine has suffered a cracked head previously and still currently has a problem in this area! :_|

Hope it is something more simple though! :pray

Sorry sidewinder, nothing wrong with rangers AFAIK

My comment was regarding the Mitsubishi L200 when I had my discovery 300TDi the 4x4 specialist who serviced it said he'd had loads of mitsi's in with head and/or major engine prooblems. I had a Mitsi Diesel car in NZ and that engine blew majorly. they take a normal car engine and 'modify' it into a diesel rather than developing a purpose built diesel. This makes the engine less strong and likely to fail sooner. However I may be wrong and newer ones may be OK.

Yes, it was a major problem on the 2003/2004 models
