......towards yet another commercial selling onslaught      ,sorry , Christmas festive season , I ask again for assistance in a matter of great import  .....................    where can one purchase Parsley & Thyme Stuffing ?

Well  Missus Deke is ,as we speak ,is making some , but it is never quite the same as the Norfolk or Paxo pre-made version of childhood .  ( One doesn't actually say that of course)

Before growing up and seeing Christmas with a more jaundiced view  I can actually remember it before the magic of childhood became  a misty visage and finally  faded away in a bombardment of commercialisation accompanied by a soundtrack of pop singer's pension plan recordings.

I remember my Mom making Christmas puddings in  basins , a cloth cover and hung over the steaming copper in the corner of the kitchen , the aroma of them cooking was the realisation that Christmas was near.   Aunts, uncles & cousins calling round , playing piano etc,  now all gone , just a few cousins remain to remember a more simple  time.

In those far away  days when turkey was an expensive , once a year treat , the Parsley & Thyme stuffing seemed like an exotic addition  , now driven into extinction by the upstart  Sage & onion .

I can relate to this. We've been having turkey and ham for sunday dinners all year. We've had to knock it on the head and switch to lamb since the start of october to make the turkey seem more special come christmas.

By the way we go for sausage meat stuffing
