Homers, homers, homers... give up some of yer evenins, weekends, like the boys say. I done it for years, get in from work then go back out in the evenin and weekends. It will pee you off no end but the wee jobs start leading to bigger jobs and gets your name out there, then you start to realize you need to think about certifying some of the work!

I was knocking work back because I wasn't happy signing it off and that was when I decided to make the leap.

Some good advice has been posted there Ryan, but I still recommend caution and stick with the steady money at the moment. If you have a load of definite work in the pipeline then thats different, but think about this , I've had a full order book for the last 15 years but hav'nt worked since Xmas, except two days bolting safty barriers to the floor at a printing works,.

Hello Ryan welcome to the forum. I think you may find it a bit of a struggle at 85 doing this electrical work . Now I am only 46 and I find it a bit of a struggle at times.

will definatly listen to the wiser opinions of the board

the guys I work for are good, and its not like im desperate to get away

i suppose I have something to work towards now and i know just where to come when im getting confused and can't ring my gaffer to come bail me out haha
