I've been a bit short of cash recently, waiting for money owed to come in, anyway that issue is starting to resolve itself now so I can get a few things done that need doing. I bought a new tv and spent the best part of the weekend doing some jobs that were long overdue, I needed a new exhaust on the car and they were quoting ridiculous prices so I went and bought one for about £60, I get a good discount at a motor factors near me. So yesterday I checked the brakes, and picked up the exhaust, got some other bits I needed and decided that I would fit the exhaust on Monday and do a couple of more little jobs in the house, install some new data cabling etc.

Well I got up this morning bright and early to run the wife to work, the car was covered in ice and it's freezing cold. I start up the  car on the drive and let it warm up, then pour some warm water on the windows to clear them. At this point I realise I have a flat front tyre, so I drag out the compressor to blow it up, it's now freezing cold the drive is wet, so I can't lie on it to do the exhaust, and I need to get the puncture fixed in the front tyre.

I would love to go out but there is a grassy knoll that I must pass on my way into town, I wonder if it's safe? With everything else conspiring against me this morning I'm just thankful there isn't a book depository near me, or I could be in real trouble. lol

What you need is a mans man mechanic, can't lay on a cold floor pfft! I was laying out under the cars over Christmas in sub zero temps.

You not got thermals for sale in your shops, bet even the motor factors do a nice waterproof boiler suit?

Phil D   Time to worry is if a CIA man runs up behind your car and jumps on the back

The one scarey bit of the conspiracy theory I read on the net  was the statement from the security riders on the back of the car ...........They were ordered to stand down by their boss ...just before the shooting .    You can see video of them standing down ....you can also see video of  one of them running back and climbing on the back after the shooting ................  OR ...you can watch another identical video where he just is'nt there at all.    Spooky .

Phil   one ofthe worst jobs I tackled on a car was replacing the exhaust on the drive .   Car had a rear axel and even after years of inserting strange shaped conduits into awkward places  .......... I just couldn't get the car up high enough to pass the double set over the axel .....on a ramp it would take 2 seconds.

I had a car like that once, can't remember what it was though, anyway I'd cut the old exhaust off, and the new one wouldn't go over the back beam. It needed raising by about 2 more inches, I got it in the end with brute force, anyway I got it done last night, on and off in about 45 minutes. It was pissing down but hey ho, I don't like those padded coveralls, too restrictive, I'm one of those who'll walk round in a T shirt in December, lol, just didn't fancy lying on a wet floor.
