I saved the aluminium storage tube from my old van .....fitted it to new van .

New van is taller than old van .........anyway I'm reversing into the garage ...and I don't wish to discuss it anymore .....

Don't have tube on mine anymore for this reason. I did find it useful for protecting the rear bumper when reversing ;) we have a spare one at work I'm pretty sure that no one knows is there. I imagine postage would be a bit steep though :(

In the great tradition of suspense trailers it wasn't as bad as I thought .    Upon hearing a creaking noise I got out to find the apex section over the doors being lifted by the tube as the van came up the slight ramp .

Could have been stupid mistake of the week though .

I've adjusted the slamming strips on the transom and that seems OK now.

Thought you had wrecked the tube but they are pretty tough.

Doesn't look too bad :)

A Vauxhall combo related incident happened to me today...

Some fecker nicked my spare wheel! Next one is being bonded with 10mm to the chassis like my last van where the wheel kept falling out of the stupid cage that undoes itself :(
