bit hard to describe but,

got ps3 and samsung lcd tv hdmi connected.

the picture in the film has like a fuzzy static overlay,

dont know if its the player, film, cable or tv. or maybe its just not set up right.

also the black borders, can i lose these with out loseing picture quality, i buy a big tv and lose half the screen on some films 2.40: aspect

the old sky box is scart connected and bbc is also bad

if the aspect ratio doesn't match your screen then there will either be bars, it'll be stretched so its out of proportion or zoomed so you lose part of the picture, no way round that.

the fuzzinessis difficult to without seeing it, have you got another cable/tv to try?
