Hi all,

Just been round a friends house and noticed the main earth bonding is connected to the flexi gas pipe after the meter and not to t:yawnhe lead or steel pipe after the flexi. is this right?

is it connected to the flexy part or to the solid connecting end part?

NoMUST be connected to solid pipe
It can be connected to the solid part of the flexi pipe if that is connecting directly into a T.

No after the meter theres a flexi pipe then 300mm of pipe which goes into the concrete floor. it is connected in the middle of the flexi pipe.

I thought it was wrong but wanted to make sure.Thanks. :p

This flexible pipe is called an annaconda, which should only be used on the inlet side of the gas meter, but sometimes when the gas supply is renewed the gas suppliers engineers fit one to the outlet if the connection does not line up.

It is not suppose to be used for the outlet but you do see a few used for this.
