Couple of years ago it sounded like the Blitz round here , more noise during Dawali these days .

We had a Valhalla type thing going on at the sailing club,,, burning pallets and an old dinghy hull,, a couple of days previous I was asked if I wanted a boat and if I didn't it was going on the bonfire..... well here it is;) my Winter project:)

Friday Night

I am a member of the Round Table and we put on a big bonfire party for the town. The idea isn't for us to make money but give something back to the town. We spend

Mr Glowstick! What more can one say. We could ask Admin to change your user name if you would like?

Doc H.

We had some friends round and had a great time. Too much food, far too much mulled wine and 12 adults and 9 children in a house and garden far too small for them.

We had fireworks in the garden set off by Mr Ali and his mate - both of them are paramedics so of course, no injuries. :Applaud :Applaud

Hope you have your pyrotechnic flares Noz...

Plus the orange dye...

Only 1 near miss when a big box type from Tesco fell over and fired vaguely towards the crowd. Said to burry 3/4 of the way up but couldn't do that to the football pitch.
It's called a bucket of sand mate. :D

Mr Glowstick. PMSL

Well done, on what sounds like a well organised and fun evening. (Friday, that is :) )

We had loads of fireworks, open invite to peep's from our street only stipulation was bring your drinks & a small selection of fireworks............... ended up with people bringing along baked spuds & chilli / bar B Q / loads of beer/wine (was stacked so all could help themselves) & enough fireworks to keep me & my cousin busy for the best part of an hour. Ending in a bonfire made of all the tree prunings & an old fence taken down last week.

Great night & people spoke to others that they've lived near to for years but never passed the time of day..last ones left @01:30.

No bother or arguments on the night & people are actualy acknowledging each other in the street.

Our display lasted longer than this one.

Not so good, Friday at work, the company next to us is a fireworks wholesaler, decides to dispose of surplus stock by letting it off. I could hear them landing on the roof of our warehouse, getting across the carpark to the car was a real risk, rockets landing everywhere, and we are talking big display fireworks here not the ones you get in the supermarket. You would think they would know better, after picking the remains of 6 large fireworks out of the area around the liquid gas tank I reported them to the trading estate managers this morning.
