The point I am trying to make is that you need to abide by the rule. But we wont tell you what the rules are unless you pay.

If you park in your local supermarket and come out to find you have been clamped, and if you dispute it and they say read the parking rules, they are on sale for

Well,

The price could be a lot worse...

... It couls be as pricey as the Alarms' regs book.

Now, That is pricey.

the regs are available in digital form tho for who said they are not

If you can give a link a lot of people would be happy.

I have no problem with paying for books that clarify the law, i do object to paying to see what the law was in the first place. I payed my tax to produce this book, now i have to pay again to read it, And yes I have paid to get them Blushing

Are you sure as the last time I asked them they said:

We are currently looking again at this, but at the present time we do not offer electronic versions.

The IEE has a free announcement service to help keep you up to date.

If you have not subscribed, please see, <<http://www.theiet.org/technical>>.

I would pay for an electronic version (there was one for the 16th) as they are much easier to carry around on your phone than the BRB is.

Unless you still have a phone from the 80's, Mate.

Sorry Ian, I couldn't resist. ]:)

i have no problem reading my copy of 7671:2008 on my 1983 phone. its a bit slow reading the text on an 8 character number screen, and there is no search funtion, but apart from those minor points, its good

I do not know why people think scanning in a publication that you are licensed to own is breaking the law. Its a far greyer area to 'rip' music in itunes to put it on your ipod than scanning in a copy of a book you have paid to use.

I see no problem with scanning it in for your own use, however if you then forward it to a third party it is a breach of copright

We have discussed this cost issue before...When we get back into the real world of cost BS7671 is not actually that expensive!

remember we are NOT talking about a high volume best seller that Tescos will want to run as a loss-leader for

I can tell you, an electronic version with text would make reading and quoting regs on here easier rather than playing go hunt the brb.
