Cat Pee Call out

Hi all

Just back from call out - Loss of Ring Main Supply (BS3036 30A Fuse blown),

found blackened double socket behind TV under low level shelf.

"My cat hides in their and I think it got scared" said the lady

Had to rig a temp socket of C U to get me Jig saw going (Must get one of them battery ones) to be able to get to socket and replace it.

Suggested replacement CU (no RCD at all at present), (safety of cat a good selling point), "Yes i will get You back for one of them", so worth a ride across town.

I've found that cats hate tin foil... get the customer to put some on the floor behind the TV and it won't go there again!!

had similar and concur regards the tin foil, ours hates the stuff.

once on call out i unplugged an extension lead as it was wet and causing the tripping, then i sniffed my hand and decided to go wash my hands a couple times

Could be worse. House I bought had 36 cats in its before we moved in. Stripped plaster off every wall from gorund up to 1 mtr to get rid of the cat smell. Not a bit of original wood left in the place, oh and the wife was 7 months pregnant when we moved in. 3 years late can still get a wiff of cat p*ss sometimes. Never again.

It's the worse smell ever . Takes ages to get rid of too

Mine loves tin foil but hates orange peel.
