Link to cheap blades duly bookmarked and scoobed.

Only trouble with offers from Makro, is the nearest one to me is over 100 miles away.
I have no idea where a makro is to me, folkestone fixing on the other hand is just down the road (20 mins), they have a ebay shop (ffx) that is also very good, sometimes they are cheaper than screwfix which is about a 1 minuite walk from them!

When i get chance im popping there to get some dickeies eisenhower trousers, best ive ever owned and cheap and a tungsten carbide bit for the bosch to see how it holds up to cutting boxes in softish stuff.

What the Makro link doesn't work? I just clicked it and it was ok, I've also sent it to a mate elsewhere and it worked ok............

I'm new to the whole multi tool thing and currently using a loaned MacAllister one from B&Q - very impressed tbh. Saved me shed loads of time removing tiles neatly so far then taking the old adhesive down to refit them. Are they any good for NEATLY removing back boxes?

Funny enough, Freeview channel 38 this morning were doing a WORX version of the multi tool as a kit for £99.00 plus a tenner P&P. Had quite a few bits with it but the Makro one looks a steal - ordering one now.

Indeed it does. I always thought you had to be a member to go into the actual stores which I'm sure IS still the case but I see on the online registration form there's an option for non card holders:
You do - but it is very easy and free (unlike Costco)

I've a Costco card too which I got years ago when being a member of the AA was enough! I keep it going as I wouldn't meet the membership criteria now! Can't ever see Costco doing super cheapo tools though...............

Costco are either trying to increase there business or struggling. I have had a few emails from them about buying online.

It's a tad odd that as the PRIMARY Costco card holder I have to now be either a business owner or "professional" such as doctor, lawyer, teacher (even someone who works in "insurance" apparently qualifies) etc to be accepted for membership. I CAN though add 2 people to my card and they just need to show say a household bill to get their card. I guess it's in the small print somewhere that if they default on payment it would come back on me!

Didn't know about them doing online now - I try to avoid the shop as end up buying stuff 1) I can't afford and 2) Don't need. I imagine they've had relax the criteria & start selling online to "anybody" just to try & get a slice of the scarce cash about.

To be honest, with any of these cash and carry businesses if you spent half an hour and made up some fake letterheads and business cards you could go on and open accounts with them.

When I go into Macro the great majority of people pay for their shopping in 2 lots - clearly business and personal.
