City & Guilds 2382-10 Full Exam?

Hey - I am in the middle of studying for the above, has anyone done the 60 question exam and if so any chance of posting the questions you got or give me some hints on what to expect as the book is so complicated

I personally, Wouldn't use old 2381 papers.

The course, as you know, is the 2382 based on the 17th edition.

It's upto you.

Sorry Roy , the only qualifications I have are C&G 236 A and B certificates taken when the Regs had just changed from the 13th edition to the 14th edition .

OH and nearly 40 years experience in the trade .

Remember , the exam is open book so theres no need to know every regulation off by heart .

The exam really is a test on your ability to use the regulation book . i.e. where to look for the info you require.

I dont see why these examples of the 2381 test cant be used as practice as I would think the same format of questions will still be used in the new test.

Just took and passed my exam today at NECTA in coventry after 4 days of class work, i think if you use the regs on a day to day basis then this exam will not be a problem for anyone, but if like me and it's been a while since you dived through it the 4 day is good although alot of the lads on it thought there was too much to take in in such a short time. Most of the questions are on parts 4 and 5, though they seemed very fond of part 7 in mine (special locations).

Hi Roy,

Yes Mate, You will know there and then if you Pass or Fail. You will also get an A4 sheet telling you r result percentages in the form of Barcharts.

Hey there - it is Friday - done test papers sample ones from Tutor on crash one day course did last Saturday both 60 and 30 (I am doing 60) highest got on 60 was 50 out of and 25 out of 30

Want to know really if lot of calcuating questions coz this is the bit doing my head in seriously!!

anything else you can tell me to help relieve the b***y stress for me and my wife (she has been real good but I know she is feeling this as well)

Everything you need is in the big red book.

They give you a formula and ask you, for example: what is the value of 'K'.

So basicly if I don't know it now I am not going to be able to cram any more in I am going to do the practice exams tonight from that link you gave above so hopefully tht will nail it - do you know what the bottom line is to pass i.e. 50% or over?? course tutor did not give straight answer!

Not at all Mate, It is all in the Red Book, It is just a case of familiarising yourself with the Chapters, Appendixes & Parts etc.

But, I Don't know how your provider works, But I am on a 10 week course (
