Cu Plastic Screws

Any one know where I can get spare screws for a volex consumer unit.

These are the long plastic things that u half or quarter turn to lock, unlock

Been to look at a job tonight fairly new cu dual split load

The idiot who installed it has mashed all the threads up making it impossible to take off without drilling, breaking off

probably from an old cover. probably not something you can get separate

I'm sure I've got a couple. There was a time when you got a spare one with each CU, and I keep things like that. I've also got some spares of those plastic brackets that secure the busbars.

I'd contact volex and tell them you only fit their boards etc etc and would they be able to send you some spares ? Just an idea ... Just sayin'

I have a load somewhere. One brand i use still gives 2 spare along with allthe other bits & bobs. Its either Logic or BG

Did a cu change other week and it came with 2 spares but I always leave them on top of the cu in the bag.

Might go back pretend I've lost something

It's not BG slips as I fitted 2 10 ways today and you get 2 blanks that's it

CPN or some of them cheapo ones give you extra screws and blanks.

HAng on if MCBs have got to be the same make maybe the screws have too, better get the same manuf screws  :^O

Please understand it is not the parts that are crap, purely the fact that the operative had not used the correct torque screwdriver!

The manufacturer is thinking on your behalf.
