Just a thought - some banks give free legal advice to account holders - I could be tempted to discuss this with them, if you have this option....
With reference to your post above: if you aren`t confident to "drain down" the cold main, I wouldn`t consider you competent to plumb the shower. No offence intended, thats just my opinion. Hope you get a satisfactory resolution.
