i have a makita one cost about 20 quid. One word TURD. keep it in the van as it looks good. it works ok-ish at finding metal studwork, wood it goes off by moving it, and finding cables ive got more chance by staring at the wall.

I wish i had spent more money and got a decent one that may have worked, but to be honest i hardly ever use it.

Well said wozz I've got a Stanley one about thirty quid and it is TURD I'd get a decent one mate if your going to bother getting one.

ha yeah i've got one of those, cant remember if its draper or blackdecker, the one with the hole in the middle. Its unused in my celler- its also TURD

never succesful detected anything with it properly

I have a Stanley model, yup about as useful as a chocolate teapot

Many of the houses around where a live are 1920-30 built with kinker block, you'd think the whole wall was AC, had to do some chasing the other day the readings made no sense, and sure enough it was nonsense when I opened up the wall!

However have ordered a new model, so if yet another TURD I'll give feedback

I have you blue version of the Bosch, never seems to work well. But I could be doing something wrong?
